Intense Pulse Light (IPL) is a non-invasive treatment using light therapy to penetrate and stimulate skin cells to repair and rejuvenate the skin. It is effective in treating sun damage, freckles, age spots, pigmentation, acne, superficial capillaries, facial flushing, redness and photo-rejuvenation of the skin. IPL provides improvement in the overall quality and tone of the face, resulting in the appearance of a more youthful and even toned skin with a vibrant, healthy glow.

Number of treatments required:

Although one treatment can show stunning results it is recommended to have a course of treatments depending on the skin condition targeted:

• Pigmentation – 3 treatments
• Vascular – 4 treatments
• Acne Treatment – 4 – 6 treatments
• Photo-rejuvenation – 4 – 6 treatments

Peels and resurfacing treatments regenerate and resurface the skin and are some of the most effective ways of treating problematic skin issues. Resurfacers work by using enzymes and acids to exfoliate the superficial (top) layer of the skin. Chemical peels typically use acids in higher concentrations than resurfacers and are able to penetrate into deeper into the mid and lower epidermis.

At Refresh rejuvenate, we offer an extensive range of resurfacing treatments and peels. We also offer physician grade peels which can only be applied by a Cosmetic Registered Nurse or doctor.

Microdermabrasion is a powerful exfoliation of the skin. Using a diamond or a crystal head, the superficial layer of the skin is exfoliated leaving the skin smooth and supple. Refresh Rejuvenate offers a diamond or crystal head so treatment can be tailored to individual skin types. This effective exfoliation technique combined with a hydrating treatment or a cleansing mask provided in our packages outlined below, will ensure your skin is completely transformed, leaving you and your skin refreshed and rejuvenated.

All microdermabrasion packages include a tailored post treatment moisturiser and sunscreen.

Number of treatments required:

Superior results are achieved with 4 – 6 treatments, 4 – 6 weeks apart depending on the individual.

Results:

Microdermabrasion results will last typically for up to 3 weeks but as the skin undergoes natural shedding, the skin texture will return to its previous state. 4 – 6 treatments are recommended to see long lasting results.

Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) and Scar Reduction Therapy (SRT) are advanced skin needling techniques used to enhance blood supply and stimulate your growth factors to increase collagen renewal and tissue regeneration process.

Scar Reduction Therapy (SRT) is an effective treatment for scarring using skin needling devices to breakdown the strong fibrotic tissue typically found in scars to give a less obvious appearance. Once the tissue has been broken up the skin growth and healing factors migrate to the area and assist in repairing the skin. Over time this process results in a largely diminished scar and improved skin texture. Skin is made to be softer, stronger and more resilient through the skin rejuvenation process.

Number of treatments required:

As fibrotic tissue can be difficult to breakdown, 6 treatments are advised with 6 weeks between treatments. Return visits are critical to the success of the treatment.
